If you are looking to give your bathroom a rustic or a period makeover, a traditional bathroom suite is the perfect option to go for. Traditional bathroom suites have elements which are designed in an old world way and exude the charm of a bygone era. Traditional bathroom suites come in all sorts of designs, shapes and the number of elements. However, unlike the old days, traditional bathroom suites come with freestanding baths, and hence, they are called freestanding bathroom suites. A freestanding bath is a bath which can be installed anywhere in a bathroom. In other words, its position is not fixed.

Size of the bathroom- The area where you install your freestanding bathtub is greatly affected by the size of your bathroom. The general rule of thumb is- if you have a small bathroom, consider installing the bath along a wall, just like it is in most of the households. However, if you have space at your disposal, you can consider installing it in the center of the bathroom to exude elegance and luxury. Of course, while doing so, it should cause obstruction for the rest of the elements of your traditional bathroom suite.

 

Plumbing fittings- You need to take into account where exactly your plumbing fittings are in order to decide where to place your freestanding bathtub. Of course, if you have made up your mind that you will install it in the center of your bathroom, make sure you get the plumbing right before hand. After all, it can be a little disappointing to purchase a traditional bathroom suite with a freestanding bath only to know that the plumbing is not where you wanted it to be.
